Glitterditch gets arty

Tate Meets Camden Town

When Late at Tate Britain decided to team up with Camden Town for a big arts shows, you know Glitterditch are going to get excited. Which is why we're telling you about it now. We wouldn't want you to miss out, would we?

You've got all the usual 'Late' things happening. By this we mean a bar. And a restaurant with a great sounding menu if you've got the cash. You get into the members room until 9pm. So far so good.

They've dragged in Michael Palin. He's going to be chatting to Tim Marlow about the Camden Town Group's artwork. They're going to get all historical about Camden and have a chat about work and fiction and all sorts of other Camden goodies. No doubt Ms. Winehouse will get a mention.

There's an exhibition on at the Tate from Camden painters, so it ties in pretty well with that. Though we can't find any information to say there's donations to help after the fire, it would be nice if that was the case.

The whole thing is free. But as always donations are welcomed. The only problem is, that by the end of the week everyone in London is going to find out about it. Tickets are on a first come first served basis. From 6pm the same night. This is ludicrous. Not least because with the Northern Line the way it is, no one from Camden will actually be able to get there in time after they've finished work.

If you do get tickets, well done. If you don't, well just hop up to Camden and take a look at some street art. Then go and get yourself a beer. It's almost the same thing.

Late at the Tate is on at Tate Britain on Friday 7th March. You can get tickets from 6pm and it's open until 10pm. Pimlico is the nearest tube station.
